How we match support

How we choose your teen’s support worker

We do not just fill available hours. We take time to understand your teen, your family and what kind of support worker will feel like the right fit.

01

We get to know your teen

We start by understanding your teen’s interests, routines, goals and what kind of support may feel right.

02

We look for the right fit

We consider more than availability, including communication style, energy, experience and shared interests.

03

We focus on consistency

Where possible, we aim for steady, familiar support so trust can build over time.

LIVED EXPERIENCE

Why I started Brighter Days

"Hi, I’m Flow, the founder of Brighter Days.

When I was nine, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that, for a while, meant I couldn’t walk. I spent a lot of time in hospitals and appointments, stuck in a body that wouldn’t do what I wanted it to do. What stayed with me was how different it felt when adults were gentle, patient and reliable.

Brighter Days exists so autistic and neurodivergent teens and their parents can have that same feeling of being understood and consistently supported."

Our values

What guides the way we support families

Our work is built around simple values: care that feels personal, support that feels steady, and relationships that help teens feel safe, understood and capable.

Personalised support

Every teen is different, so we tailor support around their personality, routines, goals, strengths and needs.

Genuine care

We care about people, not just hours of support. We take the time to understand each family and provide support with patience, respect and kindness.

Connection

We believe strong relationships help teens feel understood, supported and more confident in themselves and their community.

Reliability

Families need support they can count on, so we focus on clear communication, consistency and dependable care.
